Special Instructions / Notes
Send us a photograph and we fire it into glass at 1280 degrees, set it in a cement border and stand it on an easel. Fired glass does not fade or yellow in sunlight, so it will look the same in thirty years as it does the day it arrives. 9.5 by 13 inches, easel included.
Mosaic cut, or solid glass?
Same photograph, same size, same easel stand. The only difference is whether the glass is left whole or cut into tiles before it is fired.
Mosaic cut

The image is cut into a grid of small glass pieces and set with a fine line between them, the way a mosaic is laid. Close up you see the pieces; from across the room you see the photograph.
The lines fall across the picture, so it suits a group, a landscape or a wide scene better than one close portrait.
Solid glass
$65
One unbroken sheet of glass, so nothing crosses the image at all.
Best when the photograph is a single face, or when there is fine detail you would rather not have a line running through.
